Unlike many people think, most probably due to misquote, the Bible does not say that ‘money is the
root of all evil.’ It only says “The love of money is a root of all kinds of
evil.” (1 Timothy 6: 10) Again mark the word ‘a’. It doesn’t say even ‘the.’ So
you see, money is not condemned totally here. It is only suggesting that it may cause you to sin if
the motivation is negative. And I have found out that the bible is true.
Out of experience and
observation I am suggesting some points here which may lead you to 'sin' if you
are not careful in money matters:
1. Withhold tithes.
2. Don’t pay debts and
credits even if you have because it's so hard
to part money from you.
3. Lie to gain money.
4. Cheat others in your
quest to make more money.
5. Involve in corruption
especially robbing public funds.
6. Destroy relationship
especially with your debtors/creditors.
7. Destroy health.
8. Fail to appreciate
other blessings if you are so money minded.
9. Lead to impatience (if
you don’t receive money on time).
You know what impatience can cause you to do
if you don’t
